Cellutrak's after hours team provided local Nashville Police with crucial location details that facilitated the recovery of multiple machines including a Cellutrak protected Kubota KX057, valued at $91,000.
6:30 AM Sunday morning on December 17th, Cellutrak's telematic and monitoring system alerted an excavation company that it's Kubota KX057 was exiting their yard. This zone was predefined by the business owner to be alerted when vehicles are leaving and returning from jobs. The alert was sent out after business hours, which signalled to the owner that the Kubota machine might have been stolen. The owner immediately called the Cellutrak 24/7 customer support line to confirm their suspicions.
Cellutrak's after hours theft team was immediately engaged and discovered that the machine was towed approximately 24 miles to a rural area in Ashland City, Tennessee. The business owner called the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and filed a stolen vehicle report. Cellutrak provided the reports required by the police to confirm the vehicle's real-time location. Upon arrival the police made one arrest and uncovered multiple machines including the Kubota KX057. The arrest has led to the investigation of a theft ring where vehicles are being transported to Atlanta.
